Penn State will be represented at each coin toss this season by three important senior players. Linebacker Von Walker, offensive lineman Brian Gaia, and linebacker Brandon Bell have all been named team captions for this season.
Head coach James Franklin had high praise for the players, commenting on how well they have represented the program. “These captains are proven leaders on and off the field and have been outstanding,” Franklin said.
Walker began his career in Happy Valley as a walk-on running back who also saw time in the defensive backfield before being moved on linebacker during the 2014 offseason.
