The play of Penn State’s offensive line has come under fire the past two seasons for its poor and inconstant performances. However, the returning players have had another year of development and should be ready to show some improvement. One newcomer entering the mix in 2016 and ready to make a big impact is Connor McGovern.
McGovern is a very versatile lineman who already has a good frame to build from at six-foot-five, 306 pounds.
Able to play both center and guard, McGovern should have an opportunity to see significant playing time early on. With the graduation of center Angelo Mangiro, there’s a need that McGovern could be looked at to fill.
