Penn State Football Recruiting: PSU, Georgia Top 4-Star Wideout's List

Although he likely won't be ready to make a decision until his senior prep season or after, 2016 4-star Melbourne (FL) wide receiver Tre Nixon has confirmed a report that the Penn State Nittany Lions and Georgia Bulldogs are his current top two.

"It’s accurate, but not to the point where I’m cutting everyone else out,” Nixon said, via 247Sports. “Those two are the two teams that are hot for me right now, but teams like Texas A&M, Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee are schools that I’m not counting out yet.”

Nixon said the chances of him committing before his senior season are "slim," even if it would be an ideal scenario going forward.

“That’s in a perfect world [a decision would be coming soon], but most likely that’s not going to happen,” he said. “I just want to be 100 percent with my decision. I’m not 100 percent with my decision yet.”

Considered a heavy Penn State lean by most major recruiting sites, the 6-foot-1, 170-pounder says that his current favorites of PSU and Georgia are in virtually a dead heat right now.

“I’m really comfortable with both of the schools, they both have really good guys there,” Nixon said. “The only real difference between the two, I would say, is the distance. But the distance really doesn’t play a big factor in my decision, either. Those are pretty much dead even for me, I love both schools a lot.”
