Penn State defensive line highlights annual Blue-White Game

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – James Franklin couldn’t have picked a better, or brighter, day for Penn State’s annual Blue-White Game.

The 15th and final practice of the spring, complete with a crowd of 68,000 inside a sun-splashed Beaver Stadium, showed glimpses of the future as well as more than a few similar reminders of the past.

The majority of Penn State’s starters suited up for the Blue squad, including quarterback Christian Hackenberg, running back Akeel Lynch and the projected starting offensive line. The Blue team’s defense was also loaded with returning starters as standout defensive tackles Anthony Zettel, Austin Johnson, linebacker Brandon Bell and starting safeties Jordan Lucas and Marcus Allen were the last line of defense.
