Penn State, Pitt ADs to talk about extending series

CHICAGO – Penn State University athletic director Sandy Barbour called the school’s future non-conference football schedule “one big, massive puzzle.”

That puzzle, complete with games lined up against the University of Pittsburgh through 2019, could potentially include a longer agreement with the Panthers.

“Scott Barnes, their new AD, I’ve known for a long time,” Barbour said today at Big Ten media days. “We’ve had a brief conversation. I think we’re scheduled here in the next month or so to talk about it. We’ve got a big puzzle in looking at our non-conference schedule, so we’ll see where that fits in.
