Ashton Kutcher defends JoePa, retracts statement

Social media 'pioneer' and Two and a Men star Ashton Kutcher should pay attention to #reallife next time before he tweets about a sensitive subject.

A little past 10:30pm PT tonight, Kutcher tweeted the following: “How do you fire Jo Pa?  #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste”

With 8 million+ followers, the backlash was instant. Kutcher was bombarded with folks none too happy with his support of a coach that is in the middle of the biggest scandal in sports history. Paterno, for anyone living under a rock recently, was fired Wednesday evening after facts came to light that he was made aware in 2002, by a graduate assistant, that former PSU coach Jerry Sandusky was witnessed to be raping a ten year old boy in the showers at the Penn State football facility in 2002. The graduate assistant, Mike McQueary, has since been promoted to recruiting coordinator and WR coach.

Kutcher later tried to save face by issuing a retraction of the tweets and claiming he didn't know of the scenario.
