STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific's Karina Vyrlan and Anneroos Nederstigt each advanced in their qualifying matches Sunday of the 2017 USTA Stockton Challenger.
At stadium court, Vyrlan defeated Elvena Gervargiz 6-4, 6-4. In set two she found herself down 2-0 before winning five straight games to prevail.
Nederstigt followed on stadium court with a 7-6 (6), 6-3 win against Eva Raszkiewicz. She jumped out to an early lead in set two, and never trailed moving on to the next round of qualifiers.
Vyrlan will face Kristina Smith Monday in the second match-ups of the day, following the 9 a.
