For Love of the Game: Tudor returns home for Sweet 16

STOCKTON — When Kat Tudor was 2 years old, her aunt and uncle gave her a baby carriage with a doll inside as a gift.

But Tudor, the former four-year varsity player at St. Mary's High and now an important reserve on the Oregon State women's basketball team, rejected a toy that millions of toddlers adore.

"The first thing she did was throw the doll out and she filled the baby carriage" with athletic balls, like basketballs and soccer balls, her mother, Jennifer Tudor, said. "I have pictures of her with a 'Little Tikes' hoop.
