Ryan hopes to snap skid against hometown Flyers

PHILADELPHIA - Bobby Ryan always looks forward to a trip home.

That doesn’t mean the Wells Fargo Center has always been kind to him.

As the Ottawa Senators prepared to face the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night here, the veteran winger, who is from nearby Cherry Hill, N.J., noted he had never scored a goal in this building and had only one assist in seven games here. Before this one, he was hoping his luck would change.

“To do it at home would be nice,” Ryan said before the game. “I don’t know how many friends and family are going to be here.
