Ryan Dzingel signs two-year, $3.6 million contract with Sens

Ryan Dzingel has signed a two-year, $3.6 million contract with the Ottawa Senators.

Dzingel and the Senators were scheduled for a salary arbitration hearing on Friday morning, but settled on the new contract before the meeting.

Dzingel, 25, scored 14 goals and 18 assists in 81 games in 2016-17, his first full season in the NHL. While he struggled at in the post-season – serving as a healthy scratch for four of the Senators’ 19 playoff games, he also scored the pivotal goal to send the Senators to overtime in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference final against Pittsburgh.
