Semyon Varlamov returned from a six game absence with a groin injury to backstop the Avalanche to a 20-save, 4-1 victory over the Jets Monday. Just prior to that, Colorado had gave up goals 16 goals in three games. Meanwhile, if Craig Anderson starts his second game in 24 hours, it will be against a team he spent a season and a half with, from 2009 until his trade to Ottawa.
