Colin White signs ATO with Binghamton Senators

Colin White, the Ottawa Senators’ second 1st-round pick (21st overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, has agreed to a contract. This comes as the Boston College Eagles just barely missed qualifying for the NCAA tournament to determine the Frozen Four. Rather than return for his junior season in 2017-18, White decided to turn pro and will join the Binghamton Senators for the remainder of the season.

White had a phenomenal freshman season, putting up 43 points in 37 games. His draft stock had fallen slightly due to losing a lot of weight due to mono just beforehand, but his rookie college season proved that the Sens’ scouts had seen something worth going after.
