Showcase His Shooting Ability
Mario Hezonja showed during his rookie season that he has the form, mechanics, range, length and confidence to be an elite 3-point shooter. The problem from his first year was that he was very inconsistent, not spectacular flying around screens and a tad unbalanced pulling up off the dribble. However, when he’s in rhythm, Hezonja is a handful to deal with. In the play featured below, Hezonja is very engaged, active and rapidly moving around the court. He runs around three screens (Evan Fournier, Andrew Nicholson and Jason Smith) and then darts back to the 3-point line for an open look from beyond the arc.
