Orlando Magic to acquire Shabazz Napier, according to report

The Orlando Magic will add another young point guard to their roster, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, when they formally acquire Shabazz Napier from the Miami Heat. The trade is not yet official, but will not cost the Magic anything: as Josh Robbins notes, the future second-round pick Orlando will send to Miami for Napier is top-55 protected.

In his rookie season out of Connecticut, Napier made 51 appearances, averaging 5.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 38.2 percent shooting from the floor.

While he's yet to distinguish himself at the NBA level, Napier turned heads with his play at Connecticut, which ended with a national championship in 2014.
