Orlando City added to its roster Tuesday, selecting attacking midfielder Danny Deakin with the 20th pick in the third round of the MLS SuperDraft.
The Lions had previously traded away their first, second and fourth round picks. They chose Deakin with the No. 64 overall selection during the draft that began last week and concluded Tuesday.
“In the last week or so he was brought to our attention," Orlando City coach Jason Kreis told the Orlando Sentinel. "We hadn't done much research on him previously, but in the past week we spent a lot of time watching film.
