Orlando City B Signs Three Defenders for 2017 USL Season

ORLANDO, Fla. (December 1, 2016) – Orlando City B has bolstered its back line signing defenders Scott Thomsen, Fernando Timbó and Zach Carroll to United Soccer League (USL) contracts for the 2017 season, pending USL and federation approval.

The players will kick off the season in the Club’s new soccer stadium in downtown Orlando. Season ticket information will be available at a later date.

Thomsen, 22, signs with OCB after scoring one goal and one assist in nine appearances with the Richmond Kickers in 2016, his first professional season. The Brick, N.J., native enjoyed a successful four-year career at the University of Virginia, making 56 starts in 66 appearances and helping the Cavaliers capture the 2014 NCAA Championship.
