He'd tweet things like, "We are waiting," and boast of the club's success in France's top division and its high-end stadium.
It all seemed one-sided – until French media outlets reported Thursday that Morgan was in Lyon, France.
No photos of Morgan in France have been posted and the club has not confirmed the reports.
