Brent Brennan, Oregon State receivers coach, to be named San Jose State head coach

Oregon State outside receivers coach Brent Brennan will be named the head coach at San Jose State, The Oregonian/OregonLive has learned.

Brennan has been at OSU since 2011 and was the only assistant coach holdover after Mike Riley left the school for Nebraska and Gary Andersen was hired in 2014. Before joining the Beavers, however, Brennan was an assistant at San Jose State from 2005-10, holding roles from offensive coordinator to receivers and tight ends coach. He was also the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Cal Poly from 2001-04.

Brennan, a Bay Area native and former UCLA player, helped develop former OSU stars Brandin Cooks and Markus Wheaton and is a primary recruiter in California.
