For the second time in the past three games an OSU pitcher carried a no-hitter into the the 7th inning, and much like Friday the Beavers had to rally late to make sure the effort was not wasted.
Jake Thompson was masterful through 6 innings of work, allowing no runs and no hits, before finally getting touched up for 3 hits and a run in the 7th inning. The OSU bats didn’t fair much better than their Bruin counterparts struggling much of the game to get anything going before a questionable double from Nick Madrigal and a sac fly from Tyler Malone tied the game in the 8th.
