Treston Decoud did not have the easiest route to Corvallis. The 6’2” cornerback out of Louisiana caught the attention of several college coaches out of Lakeshore High School but academic issues kept Decoud from attending a D1 program, instead opting for D2 Chadron State in Nebraska. Following his redshirt freshman year Decoud transferred to Nicholls State to be closer to his ill mother, but again academic issues kept the cornerback from ever suiting up for the Colonels.
