BATON ROUGE, La. – The fifth-seeded Oregon women’s golf team looked sharp in the opening round of the NCAA Regionals. The Ducks shot a 4-over 292 on the par-72, 6,285-yard University Club golf course. UO is six strokes off first-place Washington and two strokes behind South Carolina.
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Ducks were paired with the Huskies and Gamecocks in the opening round and all three teams played well, occupying spots 1-3 on the leaderboard.
Oregon was led by junior Cathleen Santoso who shot a 1-under 71 to hold a seventh-place tie individually.
