- FR QB Justin Herbert, making his second career start, tossed six touchdown passes. The true frosh finished 22 of 40 for 258 yards passing and added 56 yards on nine rushes. His lone interception came in the second overtime period and was the final play of the game.
- FR LB Troy Dye had a career and game-high 14 tackles. It was the true freshman's second double-digit tackle game this season.
- Herbert's six TDs through the air were the most since Vernon Adams Jr.
