Since Chip Kelly was Head Coach, ‘Win The Day’ has been a short, concise ideal around what the Oregon Football Program stood for. It may have been a little gimicky, but Kelly’s Offense certainly was not.
The tradition continued under the recently dismissed Mark Helfrich. Such a moniker helps with a program’s sense of direction, it helps with identity, but the 2016 season under Helfrich did not have a lot of the ‘Win The Day’ motivation and innovation that was seen week in and week out with Chip Kelly.
