Oregon sophomore Tyler Dorsey was one of 20 players named to the preseason watch list for the 2017 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award given to the nation’s top 2-guard by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The award is in its third year, given to honor one of the greats to ever play the game.
Dorsey was one of the top freshmen in the nation last year, averaging 13.4 PPG and 4.3 RPG for Ducks, also knocking down 67 triples at a team-high 40.6 percent clip. Those numbers earned him a spot on the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and Pac-12 All-Tournament Team.
