EUGENE -- The search for Mark Helfrich's replacement as Oregon Ducks football coach began Tuesday evening. When it stops only athletic director Rob Mullens, a handful of high-powered boosters and the Parker Executive Search firm knows.
But to complete UO's first football coaching search since 2013 -- and also its first that will hire from outside the current staff since 1976 -- Mullens expects to go "far and wide."
"We're going to have a broad, diverse pool of candidates," Mullens said Tuesday. "We want somebody who embraces the student experience, who understand the high expectations at the University of Oregon, who understands our community, you know, really really wants to be here.
