Always a Duck, a matured DT looks ahead to his future in the game

Darron Thomas remains one of the most underappreciated quarterbacks in Oregon history.

The Aldine, Texas native was 23-3 as a starter with 66 touchdown passes and 17 interceptions in 2008, 2010 and ’11, redshirting in 2009.

He took over a redshirt sophomore in 2010 from the departed Jeremiah Masoli, winning a quarterback competition with Nate Costa in fall camp. In his first five games as a starter he led comeback wins over Tennessee in Neyland Stadium before 102,000 fans, Arizona State on the road and Andrew Luck in Autzen Stadium, the last after spotting The Cardinal a 21-3 lead.
