Assessing where things stand for the Oregon football team entering the start of preseason camp Aug. 10.

RUNNING BACK

Who’s back: Whoever wins the UO quarterback job, he’ll have an enviable group of skill players surrounding him, headlined by the running backs. Royce Freeman is drawing major preseason awards buzz after rushing for 1,365 yards and earning Pac-12 offensive freshman of the year honors for 2014. He perhaps hit a freshman wall late in the year, but Thomas Tyner was there to take the baton, rushing for 186 yards and two touchdowns combined against Florida State and Ohio State.
