Oregon Football News: Marcus Mariota Wins 2014 Manning Award, His Sixth Major Award Of The Year

Marcus Mariota is going to need another trophy cabinet.

The accolades continue to roll in for the Oregon Ducks QB, and the Manning Award - voted on by the media to decide the nation's top quarterback - is just the latest piece of hardware he'll be taking home.

Mariota has also won the Heisman Trophy, the Walter Camp & Maxwell national player of the year awards, the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award and the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. No player has ever before won all six in the same year.

Mariota is expected to be one of the top picks in the upcoming 2015 NFL Draft, and he leaves Oregon as the most decorated Ducks QB in history. In addition to the trophies he's won, Mariota owns a host of Oregon records, including:

Career Total Offense - 12,689 total yards

Career Total Touchdowns - 134

Career Passing Yards - 10,462

Career Passing Touchdowns - 103

Single Season Total Offense - 4,878 yards (2014)

Single Season Passing Yards - 4,121 (2014)

Single Season Passing Touchdowns - 40 (2014)

Mariota led the Ducks to the first ever College Football Playoff Championship Game, and while they didn't come away with the win, he'll still go down as the greatest quarterback in the school's decorated history.
