Texas-San Antonio snaps ODU's nine-game win streak

Bryan Arias hit a go-ahead solo homer in the bottom of the eighth inning and Texas-San Antonio ended Old Dominion's nine-game baseball win streak with a 7-5 victory Sunday at Roadrunner Field.

The Monarchs (19-5, 5-1) dropped into a first-place tie with Southern Miss and Florida Atlantic in Conference USA with their first league loss.

ODU took a 5-1 lead on a two-run single by Culver Lamb (Tallwood) in the first inning and an RBI groundout by Vinnie Pasquantino and a two-run double by Zach Rutherford (Western Branch) in the second. UTSA rallied with two-run homers by Ben Brookover in the second inning and Trent Bowles in the third to tie it.
