NORFOLK | Evelyne Viens scored twice as 17th-ranked South Florida defeated Old Dominion 3-1 in a nonconference women’s soccer match on Sunday at the ODU Soccer Complex.
Viens took a long pass and went one-on-one with Lady Monarchs goalie Krista Moisio for the opening tally in the 11th minute. Viens went head-to-head with Moisio again to ice the win in the 63rd.
Viens notched an assist on the eventual game-winner, finding Andrea Hauksdottir in the 24th to give the Bulls (8-0-0) a 2-0 lead.
Jackie Stroud scored on a penalty kick in the 40th minute for ODU (3-7-0).
