MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The No. 49 nationally ranked/No. 2 seed Old Dominion men’s tennis team (19-5) advanced to its second consecutive Conference USA Championship after blanking No. 6 seed Southern Miss (21-5) by a 4-0 score in the Semifinals on Saturday afternoon at the Adams Tennis Center.
With the victory, the Tennis Monarchs will take on either No. 40 nationally ranked/No. 1 seed Rice or No. 4 seed Middle Tennessee tomorrow, Sunday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m. EST.
On Saturday, ODU tandems of Adam Moundir/Javier Jover Maestre and Michael Weindl/Jacob Nicolussi gave the Monarchs a 1-0 lead after winning their respective doubles matches.
