NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (3-0) cruised to a 6-1 win over Richmond (0-1) and a 7-0 victory over Howard (0-1) on Sunday at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. The two wins capped-off a perfect 3-0 weekend for ODU, as the Monarchs defeated NC State by a 6-1 score on Friday in Raleigh, N.C.
Nine different Old Dominion players picked up wins in singles play on Sunday; as the Monarchs won all 12 possible singles matches.
“We played a lot of successful tennis this weekend,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “This was the purpose and we learned a lot about our team.
