CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Tom Wustenberg scored the only goal in Old Dominion University Men's Soccer's 1-0 exhibition win over No. 13 Virginia on Tuesday night.
In the 14th minute of the contest, Wustenberg faked a cross, and beat the keeper to the top right corner of the goal.
Goalkeeper Mertcan Akar played all 90 minutes in goal for the Monarchs, stopping seven shots for the shutout.
ODU returns home to Norfolk on Saturday, Aug. 19, when the Monarchs host George Mason at 7 p.m. in their final exhibition.
