The Lady Monarch lacrosse team opened Atlantic Sun conference play against Jacksonville with 12-7 loss at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
“We played a bit messy but overall the effort was awesome. The team really went after it today. They played hard for the whole 60 minutes. We just need to clean a lot of things up,” ODU head coach Heather Holt said.
ODU (4-4, ASUN 0-1) got on the scoreboard first with a goal by senior midfielder Connor Carson five minutes into the game but they’d only score one more time in the first half despite taking 11 shots.
