Adam Bainbridge scattered five hits and two runs over eight innings, and the Old Dominion baseball team cruised to an 11-5 win over Texas San Antonio on Saturday at Roadrunner Field.
Bainbridge (5-1) lowered his ERA to 1.62 and struck five for the Monarchs, who collected 14 hits en route to their ninth straight win and second in the three-game Conference USA series. They eclipsed the 10-run mark for the seventh time this season.
ODU (19-4, 5-0) trailed 2-0 heading into the fourth inning. A Jared Young sacrifice fly sparked the rally, and Western Branch High grad Zach Rutherford's three-run homer in the fifth put the Monarchs ahead to stay.
