Thursday was a good day for Tim Brassfield.
The Oklahoma City All Sports Association executive director’s day started with the opening of the Women’s College World Series and then in the afternoon, the news of more events coming to Oklahoma City became official.
The Big 12 announced Thursday that the conference’s baseball tournament would be at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark through 2020, and the women’s basketball tournament would be at Chesapeake Energy Arena through 2019.
“I think the biggest statement from the Big 12 Conference for us is the fact that they’re willing to award these championships for multiple years,” Brassfield said.
