FORT WORTH, Texas — Dustin Williams didn’t set any goals for himself coming into his senior year. He figured he had placed too much pressure on himself doing so as a junior.
But coming into Oklahoma State’s series against TCU batting .216 certainly wasn’t part of Williams’ plan. Despite the Cowboys getting swept, Williams, a first baseman, will leave Fort Worth, about half an hour away from his hometown of Weatherford, with 30 more points on his batting average after a two-hit game Sunday.
“This year, I’m just trying to be the best teammate I can, go out there and win every pitch that I can,” Williams said.
