OSU women's basketball: Kaylee Jensen leads Big 12 in scoring average entering Bedlam

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State junior forward Kaylee Jensen was pegged as the Cowgirls' top scoring threat this season after the departure of reigning Big 12 Player of the Year Brittney Martin.

Through 17 games this season, Jensen has certainly delivered.

The third-year player from Geneo, Neb., enters Bedlam on Sunday leading the league in scoring with 18.6 points per game. Prior to the 2 p.m. tip in Norman, Jensen discussed her rise in production with The Oklahoman.

Q. What were your personal expectations entering this season?

A. Obviously, our leading scorer left and I was the second-leading scorer last year, so coach (Jim Littell) kind of put it on my shoulders to carry a larger load than I did last year.
