OSU opponent watch: Cowboys well aware of WVU quarterback Skyler Howard's improved decision making

STILLWATER — For nine consecutive games last season, West Virginia quarterback Skyler Howard threw at least one interception. He was picked 14 times all year.

Howard, a junior college transfer, tossed one in the Cowboys' thrilling 2015 overtime victory, 33-26, in Morgantown. He arrives Saturday in Stillwater an improved decision maker. Through six undefeated games this year, Howard has thrown just four interceptions to 12 touchdowns while four different receivers have at least 20 catches.

Howard has the Mountaineers in position to contend for a Big 12 title after being voted preseason to finish seventh overall, and maybe, a potential playoff berth should they run the table.
