OSU football: Big plays bite the Cowboy defense in 38-20 Bedlam defeat

NORMAN — Mike Gundy and his rain-soaked mullet dripped into the postgame press conference Saturday and Oklahoma State's head coach didn't need a single question to deliver an answer for the Cowboys' Bedlam defeat.

About the same time Sooners partied on Owen Field, a fourth conference title in seven years, Gundy referenced the crux of OSU's 38-20 loss at least a dozen times through a dozen minutes with reporters. “I think it's pretty clear what happened,” he said.

Of OU's 629 yards of total offense, 364 were the result of just seven snaps. That's 57 percent of the Sooners' total production on less than 10 percent of their overall plays (71).
