OSU and Texas met in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.

Texas, the 7th-seed in the tournament, jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Longhorns would tack on two more runs in the 4th inning, and suddenly the Cowboys were in a bit of trouble. OSU starting pitcher Trey Cobb was knocked out in that 4th inning, and the Cowboys were forced to turn to their bullpen.

Oklahoma State went into the bottom of the fifth inning facing a 4-0 deficit. Longhorn starter Ty Culbreth had struck out six batters in four innings, and was cruising right along.
