Notebook: two Cowgirls net first career goals

A slew of underclassmen stood out for the Oklahoma State soccer team Friday evening as the Cowgirls took down Loyola University Chicago 2-0.

Sophomore wing-back defender Charme Morgan claimed her first career goal for the Cowgirls in the 29th minute after Jaci Jones sent a ball from midfield into the 18-yard box, where Morgan controlled it on her hip, turned and hit the ball past the Loyola goalie.

Morgan said most players dream to play collegiate soccer and to find a way to score, and with her strike today, that dream became reality.

“You come to college to play soccer, you work so hard, it’s just kind of one of those things you want,” Morgan said.
