Cowboy comeback

STILLWATER — The Sooners weren't missing much Saturday night.

Neither was Jawun Evans, not in the second half.

Evans scored 20 of his 27 points over the final 11:16 — and 16 straight during a decisive 6:26 stretch late — carrying the Cowboys to a 96-92 Bedlam win inside an electric and sold-out Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Oklahoma State, which trailed by as much as 10 in the second half, was still down 84-78 when Evans took over.

From the 6:35 mark until Mitchell Solomon closed out the win with two free throws with :09.3 remaining, Evans scored on driving layups, pull-up jumpers, 3-pointers and at the foul line, rescuing the Cowboys from what would have been a disappointing loss at home.
