The two Sooner stars were selected within four spots of one another as the final four rounds of the 2017 draft began on Saturday in Philadelphia.
Westbrook was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the third pick of the fourth round, the 110th player taken overall, and Perine was selected four spots later by the Washington Redskins with the seventh pick in the fourth round.
Westbrook was a huge surprise in his final season of college football, putting up video-game-like numbers with 1,524 receiving yards and an OU single-season record with 17 receiving touchdowns. He was the first Oklahoma receiver to win the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best college receiver and also finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
