OU men's basketball journal: Oklahoma struggles with late fouls in loss

WACO, TEXAS — In the final minute of Tuesday's eventual 60-54 loss at No. 9-ranked Baylor, Oklahoma twice struggled to properly execute a foul needed to extend the game and force the Bears to make free throws.

First, the Sooners' Khadeem Lattin grabbed Johnathan Motley by the back of his jersey with 30 seconds to play and Baylor up five, drawing an intentional foul call that gave the Bears free throws and the ball.

“You can't do it that way,” Sooners coach Lon Kruger said.

Then after Motley made one of two, Oklahoma let 15 seconds tick away before Kristian Doolittle finally got a steal.
