Over and over again in the opening minutes of Oklahoma's eventual 84-75 win over Texas Tech on Saturday, sophomore guard Rashard Odomes drove straight toward the basket.
Odomes was rewarded repeatedly as his aggressiveness and playmaking near the rim set the tone early and helped the Sooners build a quick lead.
He scored the first seven OU points and by the time the first half was over had already matched his career high for a game with 17 points.
Odomes finished with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting.
"He set a tone that's really important in terms of attacking," Sooners coach Lon Kruger said.
