Oklahoma rolls in Bedlam, delivers College Football Playoff statement

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma all but punched its ticket to the College Football Playoff on Saturday night with a 58-23 rout of No. 11 Oklahoma State in Boone Pickens Stadium.

Oklahoma's resounding Bedlam performance -- coupled with Notre Dame's last-second loss at Stanford -- seemingly solidified the third-ranked Sooners' spot in the playoff.

Oklahoma will have to wait until next weekend to see if its named gets called by the CFP selection committee. But at this point, that appears to be mere formality.

The Sooners should be in.

The game turned when... Trailing 10-7 in the first quarter, the Sooners handed off to Samaje Perine, who bounded around the edge for a 68-yard touchdown untouched, thanks in part to wideout Dede Westbrook, who confused Oklahoma State cornerback Michael Hunter by pretending to catch a pass.
