Oklahoma RB Samaje Perine drafted 114th overall by Washington Redskins

Former Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine was selected with the seventh pick of the second round and 114th pick overall by the Washington Redskins in the 2017 NFL draft on Saturday.

Perine, who received immediate playing time as a true freshman in 2014, broke Oklahoma's all-time rushing yards record during his final game as a Sooner in the Sugar Bowl. He finished his three-year OU career with 4,122 yards on the ground and 49 touchdowns.

During his best season as a freshman, Perine rushed for 1,713 yards -- including an NCAA record 427-yard performance against Kansas -- and 21 scores.
