NORMAN — Still wearing clothes from her early morning workout, Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale sat in her large office on the southwest side of the Lloyd Noble Center on Friday morning.
With the air conditioning off for repairs, the air was still in the building. Most other rooms around Coale's office were dark, save for the offices of her assistants down the hall. A once-bustling area, LNC was a ghost town with both the men's and women's teams done with their seasons and many coaches out recruiting.
Slowly over the next couple of days, members of the women's basketball team will trickle into Coale's office for their routine end-of-season meetings before the head coach goes out to observe potential future Sooners
These meetings are telling.
