Buddy Hield Carries (2) Oklahoma To 80-68 Win Over (1) Oregon, Earning Final Four Berth

The Oklahoma Sooners are back in the Final Four for the first time since 2002 after star guard Buddy Hield led them to a dominant 80-68 victory over Oregon.

Hield stole the show from the opening minute and never let it go, scoring a jaw-dropping 37 points on 13/20 shooting (8/13 from three) and a few of these gems:

Sparked by Hield's hot shooting, Oklahoma came out of the gates fast. They went on a 17-9 run over the first seven minutes of the game, but really took control with another 21-13 run to close the first 20 minutes. That gave the Sooners a commanding 48-30 lead at the break, and Oregon was never able to cut the lead to less than 12 after that.

Oklahoma's deadly three-point shooting was the difference in this one as they went 12/24 from downtown - all while holding Oregon to just 4/21 shooting from deep.

The Sooners also got big performances from Jordan Woodard (13 points) and Isaiah Cousins (11 points, five rebounds, seven assists).

Oregon's Elgin Cook put forth an excellent performance, scoring 24 points with four assists. However, he didn't get much help from any of his teammates. Star Dillon Brooks was limited to just seven points and three rebounds while dealing with foul trouble all night.

Oklahoma will face either (1) Kansas or (2) Villanova in their Final Four matchup in Houston on Saturday.
